Anna's Tribute
Annamaria Ross Arnwine, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, joined the ranks of the heavenly hosts just before midnight on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 with her daughter, Erin, brother, John, and cousin, Tam by her side. Over the last month of her life, as she fought valiantly to regain her strength, Anna was sustained by her lifelong faith in God, which never wavered. Even as her body failed, Anna remained hopeful, was filled with gratitude, and looked beyond her own suffering to minister to the needs of others.
Anna was a remarkable woman who meant so much to so many. For her family, she was the heart, the soul, the center of our universe, and the glue that bound us together. She was our touch stone, our organizer, our confidant, advisor, and our rock. No matter how busy and stressed she was, Anna never missed an opportunity to bring our family together. Her generosity extended to every area of her life. Anna loved the beach and the highpoint of every year was the annual week in Corolla spent with her family, which she generously hosted.
She was the last to take offense and the first to forgive. It was simply not in her nature to hold a grudge. Over the course of her life, she endured many struggles, trials, and losses. She faced every challenge uncomplainingly, with quiet dignity, grace, and positivity. She lived her life from a place of gratitude always acknowledging how blessed she was.
She was a shining light in the world and she radiated love and unconditional acceptance. She was a giver, a nurturer and had the rare ability to completely and authentically connect with people in a way that left them feeling seen, heard, validated, accepted and enveloped with love.
Anna loved animals and was devoted to her dogs George, Gracie and Luke; and cats, Ashley, Melanie and Lucky. She adored being Grana Anna to Nikon and was filled with joy at the thought of going home and seeing him again.
Anna was a consummate hostess, wonderful cook, and made the very best coffee any of us have ever tasted!
She had a wonderful sense of humor, a smile that could light up any room, and a laugh that was contagious.
Anna spent her career at Tandem, Marino Associates, Legent, and IBM; but the most important work of Anna’s life was being a mother to her beloved Erin.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Erin Lesnick and husband Mike; her father, Curtis Ross; her sister, Terry Smith; her brother, John Ross and wife Leigh; niece Eve Pascarella and husband Chip and great niece Ava; and niece Emma Ross; nephew Tucker Ross; and cousin Kim Davis and partner Tam.
Anna’s beloved mother, Helen Louise Ross, preceded her in death.
